Endemic means native/ restricted to a certain area, it also means (of a disease or condition) regularly found among particular people or in a certain area.

My thesis exhibition for my undergraduate studies at California College of the Arts in Oakland, was meant to acknowledge humanities disregard for the strain on our resources. Creating a growing disconnect to our natural dying world.

Consisting mainly of locally found California materials ranging from Yosemite dirt and coastal Redwoods to a deer jaw from a cactus pit in the dessert. In combination with precious metals, stones and craft, the works were geared to cause the wearer to take on a sense of responsibility for their atmosphere. Enabling an instant connection to our Mother Earth with a piece of something that once thrived, this grounds you and tells a story of our past. Allowing a connection brings clarity and a clear perspective of the world and your place in it.
